Everyone a Minister in the SMP: Drive-Thru Ministry Program. Fuller Seminary, Thou Hast Conquered

Everyone's a minister as long as the Church Growthers
are the College of Cardinals.

narrow-minded has left a new comment on your post "Steadfast and the SMP Program":

It also says, "Everyone's a minister," which, as an inevitable fruit of Pietism, has increasingly become the SynCon's mantra for generations. The "priesthood of believers" doesn't equate to every warm body administering Word and Sacrament. This is no surprise, though, as it is been common, at least in the LCMS, for vicars to administer the Sacraments with parish and DP approval.

While I am not altogether opposed to distance learning, the Drive-Thru Ministry Program does not even require the study of Greek. The SynCon has become and exercise in extremes. One side, which the SMP Program will cater to, is the CG/CW group of Babtist-wannabes. The other side is the bells-and-smells high-churchers who get starry-eyed at the mention of Rome or Constantinople. Either way, Luther is discarded.

GJ - The delivery method is not the issue, since online is inevitable to some extent. Even my face-to-face classes require the use of  a learning platform for attendance, homework, and grading.

The issue is unionistic Pietism, which Bishop Stephan and Pope Walther brought over with their bevy of groupies. Until the SynCons recognize their inherent Pietism and the UOJ backbone of their dogma, they will not avoid the inevitable dissolution of their sects.

Young Pietist, old Unitarian, elderly Atheist.
