Appreciation for Pastor Nathan Bickel

Not long ago someone sent a nasty comment here about one of Pastor Bickel's posts, but Bickel's post was only linked here. I thought, "That is a fine commendation, given the source of the comment."

Pastor Bickel and I exchange quite a few communications. He has emphasized more of the political element in his two blogs. I have usually avoided that because apostasy alone is a big enough topic for me.

That does not mean I fail to appreciate what he offers. For example, we still do not know the actual father of President Obama or where he was born. I have looked over the evidence many times, and I remain baffled by the contradictions that are public knowledge, such as Obama's own book bio claiming Kenyan birth and conflicting stories about his Hawaiian birth - which hospital?

I believe crazy theories should be pursued, if only for the sake of learning more about the topic. My foundation for this assertion is that memorable day when the class laughed at me for talking about tectonic shifts in the earth. I was in seventh grade and I cited Superman comics as my source. The teacher could not suppress his mirth, but the issue remained - was it true or not? After all, we had a science book in that class, 1960, that claimed America would run out of coal in the 1950s.

Many decades later, my brother-in-law was studying tectonic shifts with a federal grant. He took special clocks on jets to measure differences in time. With a PhD in physical chemistry and a post-doc at MIT, he was not indulging in fantasies. I pointed out how his job was foreshadowed by a Superman comic. He was not surprised.

William Shatner changed the world.

America is falling apart in every way possible, and this catastrophic decline was preceded by an equivalent decline in the Christian Church - all denominations.

Citizens owe themselves a thorough study of the historical and current issues. Constitutional conservatives are well versed in these issues, while Leftists are welded to the common talking points defending the decline.

I keep Pastor Bickel's two blogs linked at all times. I also kelm some of his posts. He has had a fast start as a blogger.

Moral Matters

Memorial Day: Honoring the memory of fallen heroes

flag1“Memorial Day” - Memorial Day previously called Decoration Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died while serving in the military of the United States. In 1971, Memorial Day was declared a national holiday by an act of Congress and the date to observe the holiday was set as the last Monday in May.
“…..Today is the day we put aside to remember fallen heroes and to pray that no heroes will ever have to die for us again. It’s a day of thanks for the valor of others, a day to remember the splendor of America and those of her children who rest in this cemetery and others. It’s a day to be with the family and remember….. — Ronald Reagan - conservapedia.com/
A Fitting Way to Remember Our Fallen Heroes and To Honor Their Sacrifice
Honoring Fallen Veterans – We Can DO This - ”……In every town and city, in communities and neighborhoods across this great nation, there are cemeteries……..Many cemeteries have faced cutbacks on grounds crews or face financial shortages which reduce the care they can provide……
This is where we can help but before I get into that, allow me to relate a few examples of the disrepair……….. - thenationalpatriot.com/
